Why some residents may be watching

The Planning Commission reviews land use and development requests before they go to the City Council. Earlier this month it held a special meeting on Oct. 12 and recommended conditional approval of a proposed data center on Southern Street. The City Council took no action on that proposal on Oct. 19, and the company said it would take the project elsewhere. Our story on that meeting has the details.

The cancellation notice does not say what was on the agenda for Oct. 26.

Following the commission

Planning Commission agendas, minutes and meeting videos are posted on the city's Agenda Center. Meetings are open to the public. The city says it will provide reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities when requested at least 72 hours in advance through the City Clerk's Office, (313) 563-9770 or clerk@cityofinkstermi.gov.

We will post the next meeting date when the city announces it.
